Hello I am Krista Makarowski!
I am the Children’s Ministry Leader for the Pre-Elementary and Elementary age groups. I have been attending Grace for over 15 years. My favorite thing about our church is that the people here have a genuine love of God and others. There is always someone checking in on you, ready to pray for you, or just be there to greet you with a smile or a hug.
I have been involved with Children’s Ministry since I was a teen. Children’s Ministry is so important to me because it lays the foundation for a child’s faith development and walk with Christ. Children need to see and feel God’s love for them, while also learning how to show God’s love to others around them.
Outside of church, I am an elementary school teacher. My husband Tom and I have two sons, Will and Dylan. We enjoy watching movies together, traveling to new places, and spending time with our family and friends.

I have been at Grace for many years. Since I was a teenager, I have served in various roles in children’s ministry and now I’m the Nursery Leader at Grace. I also serve on the Wisdom Council and enjoy collaborating with leadership and the church family to further the mission of Grace in our community and around the world.
I have lived in the LincolnWay area for my entire life – born and raised in Mokena and currently live in New Lenox. My husband Mike and I have been married since 2004 and we have 2 children, Grant and Megan. We love to travel any chance we get!
